Getting started with a new infrastructure platform takes real effort. Reading docs is one thing. Actually understanding how the pieces fit together, in the context of your own work, is another.
That gap is what we built Launchpad Learn to close.
Launchpad Learn is a new section inside the Spacelift Launchpad. It’s structured, hands-on training that lives directly in the platform. No external course to find, no separate environment to spin up. You learn Spacelift by using Spacelift.
Four modules, one complete picture
Launchpad Learn is organized into four progressive modules. Each one targets a distinct layer of how teams operate infrastructure at scale.
- Foundations covers the essential concepts and first steps with Spacelift. If you’re brand new to the platform, this is where you start. By the end, you’ll have a working mental model of how Spacelift operates and hands-on experience with the core primitives.
- Operational Safety walks you through the controls that make infrastructure changes safe to ship. Policies, approval flows, alerts, and audit trails. The things that matter when your changes affect production and you need to prove you did this right.
- Configuration Reuse is about efficiency and consistency at the team level. You’ll learn how to build reusable config, automate repetitive setup tasks, and templatize your workflows so onboarding a new team or repo doesn’t start from zero every time.
- Delivery at Scale covers multi-stack systems. Managing dependencies between stacks, coordinating changes across environments, and promoting releases with confidence. This is the module that changes how infrastructure teams think about orchestration.
How it works
Each module is made up of sections. Within a section, the tasks are sequential. You build on what you just did, so the learning sticks. Between sections, though, you have full flexibility. If your team is already solid on the basics and you want to jump straight to Configuration Reuse, do that.
Every step includes the code you need and the context to understand why it works. You’re not copying commands blindly. You’re doing real work with real explanations.
Who this is for
The modules are designed to work for users at many levels. If you’re a platform engineer setting up Spacelift for the first time, Foundations gets you operational fast. If you’re a senior engineer who knows the basics but wants to sharpen how your team uses policies or dependencies, you can drop into Operational Safety or Delivery at Scale directly.
Launchpad Learn isn’t a tutorial you sit through once. It’s structured enough to follow, flexible enough to use the way you actually work.
Finding it
Open your Spacelift account, go to Launchpad, and look for the Learn section. Take any of the modules at your own pace.
